How to create Multiple Instances of Yahoo Messenger

This is for few of my friends who have been asking me couple of times How to create Multiple Instances of Yahoo Messenger?

Here you go.......

Most of us have more than 1 yahoo messenger id with us and want to login at the same time. Well its little annoying for me to login to yahoo messenger with one id and other at the yahoo mail or using different IM clients.  


you can link to one of the below sites - most likely not all will be blocked by schools/offices (most schools/offices allow access to secure http sites by bypassing the firewall/proxy; meebo has https access)

But Nhaaa , This is not what we are looking here . …

For the folks who like Ymessenger, below are the steps you have to follow to have multiple instances

We have to edit the registry a little

(1) Go to the Start menu and click the Run button.
(2) Type " regedit " without quotes and hit the enter button as hard as possible.
(3) The window that opens will have a list of folders in the left pane.
(4) Goto HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software-> Yahoo -> Pager  -> Test. 
(5) Now in the right pane do a right click and create a new DWORD and name it "Plural"
(6) Right click over " Plural " and select Modify. And change the value to 1

If you are feeling lazy!?!?! then Follow the below steps


1) Download the file from the link http://www.fast-files.com/getfile.aspx?file=35659
2) Extract the content of the files and right click on the "start_ymulti" file and select merge, Surprisingly you are done ..  ,Personally I love such methods..  ;-) 


Now enjoy messaging with multiple instances of Yahoo messenger....
